GRAB
Kayla and Lucy are workmates, and are complete opposites in every way possible. Until an unexpected tragedy hilariously provides them with much needed Common Ground.
SYNOPSIS
Free spirit Kayla is late for work again and prim and proper workmate Lucy is, as usual, not impressed. When she does arrive, Kayla struggles to take phone calls midst energetic tears, distracting Lucy from her work.
Lucy tries to do the right thing and reluctantly asks Kayla if she can help in any way. But Kayla soldiers on like a trouper, assuring Lucy she's ok with various grunts and sniffles.
Kayla refuses Lucy's suggestion that she go home, because she doesn't want to be alone. She breaks down when making them both cups of tea and spills it on Lucy's crisp white shirt.
Kayla finally confesses she was making tea when Harry died yesterday. Lucy awkwardly tries to comfort but it's not her strong suit.
Until Kayla confesses that Harry was her 12 year old dog. Lucy breaks down at the loss of her own dog - 15 or more years ago !
As they bond on common ground we realise that as a result of what's taken place, Lucy has become messy and colourful, and Kayla has become neat and tidy.
