GRAB:
Dr Ellie West comforts Dr Bridget Summers, who is having trouble dealing with the loss of a special patient this afternoon - a 10 year old child.
SYNOPSIS:
St Mark's Hospital is already understaffed and under-resourced, so when there's an emergency intake of victims of a horrific rail accident nearby, the doctors and nurses have to work double shifts.
Dr Bridget Summers, has never had to handle such an emergency, and when one of the victims allocated to her - a special little girl, Abby - dies under her care, Bridget is devastated. She holds herself together to treat the other patients who need her, then goes to the staff room and breaks down completely.
Her colleague, Dr Ellie West, who has a little more experience in such matters, finds her, and comforts her with a mixture of TLC and straight talking, suppressing her own emotions to help the younger Bridget.
